About Me
The Water Series:
I wanted to do a photographic series portraying the human body as art. The question I confronted was how to do this series in a unique way. It occurred to me that the female human, woman, can be thought of as the giver of live for the human race and that water can be thought of as the giver of life for the planet Earth. Could there be a unique way to combine the female form and water into a photographic series? After pondering the relationship of female form and water and discussing my idea with a few friends, I decided that it could be an interesting visual metaphor to photograph models posing as water.
I like to work in a collaborative environment – asking my models to be part of the creative process. The models do not just take direction, but are actors, if you will. For this project, I asked the models to perform as the various states and forms of water.
The images you see in the water series gallery are the result of the collaboration between the model/actors and myself. Please enjoy.
