    We basically set up the light on the guy and the shoe pretty quick and I kept yelling up the stairs at Amy to move the other light this way and that way until I got it just right. All while the hotel staff were giving me dirty looks because I wasn't keeping my voice down.

    HPL = VAL

    HPL - human powered lightstand (i.e. Amy, my wife hehe)
    VAL - voice activated lightstand (wife again)

    thanks for the pic comment. it took us a bit to get that lighting right on the model due to variations in HPL models.
