I am a varied artist living and working in Northeast CT. I'm not starving.. but I live pretty lean. A good deal of my work is figurative, I draw, carve, paint, and photograph to express my ideas. I have won awards for my carvings and paintings. I have a simple but nice workshop at the foot of a lovely wood lot, I have high ceilings and large openings on every side of the building, that with backdrops hung, allows for the creation of many kinds of lighting situations..
My interest in photography falls into three categories, Art Nude, Digital composite work and reference material for other kinds of art. I enjoy nature photography and macro photography as well.
In regards to Art Nude, I am interested in shooting indoors, outdoors, all seasons and all locations. I've hiked to the top of a mountain and also into a deep ravine to shoot by a raging river. I am building several portfolios for future display. One celebrates the female form. Forms are isolated or exaggerated or even played against contrasting forms and textures. Another 'book' is a collection of pictures that try to 'express a concept' similar to my intro photo. All the photos I 'use' are carefully selected and retouched.

I am not a 'pro' photographer by any means but I have an art degree and a sensibility honed by years of art making and display. I am interested mainly in collaborative efforts with reasonably local people who would enjoy posing for shots like those posted here, I will gladly help with travel costs. I would help a model who needs a particular kind of shot or wishes to be shot in a certain way if at all possible.
I can and will provide pictures right out of the camera for those who do their own retouching or will make a disc or prints of 'finished' shots. The release form I use simply states the model is of legal age and understands that both parties, artist and model , have full rights to use the images for any legal purpose. Other arrangements are possible.
